We spent Thanksgiving this year at our family cabin in Yosemite. I always love being in Yosemite and now we have our wedding memories there as well!
It is so sad to see the evidence the bark beetle has had on the area just in the last months since we have last been there!! The bark beetle normally doesn’t kill a tree that is healthy with enough water but since the California drought has been so aggressive the pine trees have been suffering. Everywhere we looked there was a tree marked with spray paint ready to be cut down. Taking a walk in the forest we would constantly hear massive trees falling down. Breaks my heart.
On another note, weather was great and the last morning we woke up to a ton of new snow.
“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn.” – John Muir
Time to get outside and enjoy the beautiful changes.

Falsterbo was a dream. We stayed with some family friends in their beautiful home. William grew up coming here and knows it well. He loved showing me around and revisiting memories. The town is very small and is easy to bike around (multiple times).
We rode around visiting spots that meant a lot to William and his family. In between the tour of course we had to stop at Badhyttens for lunch where I was pleasantly surprised with mussels and fries when I thought I was just getting fries (language barrier). Let us not forget ice cream stops every time we ran out.
